We collect information to provide you with sleep tracking, dream interpretation, and visualization features.

A. Audio Recordings

What we collect: The App records audio during your sleep sessions to detect talking, snoring, or other noises.

Storage: These recordings are processed locally on your device or temporarily processed by our secure servers to generate transcriptions. We prioritize local storage to maximize privacy.

Control: You can listen to or delete these recordings at any time within the App.

B. Dream Data (Text & Images)

Transcriptions: The text converted from your audio recordings.

AI Interpretations & Images: The analysis and visual representations of your dreams generated by Artificial Intelligence.

Storage: This data is stored on your device and securely in our cloud database to allow you to access your history.

C. Device and Usage Data

We may collect anonymous technical data, such as your device model, operating system version, and general app usage statistics (e.g., how many dreams you recorded). This helps us improve stability and fix bugs.

D. Subscription Data

All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not store or have access to your credit card information. We only receive a confirmation that a subscription is active.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

Core Functionality: To record your sleep, transcribe your words, and generate dream journals.

AI Processing: To send anonymized text prompts to third-party AI providers (e.g., for generating the "Interpretation" and "Dream Image"). Note: We do not use your personal audio recordings to train public AI models.

Improvement: To fix crashes and optimize app performance.

4. Third-Party Services

To provide our cutting-edge features, we work with trusted third-party providers:

AI Service Providers: We use third-party AI APIs (such as OpenAI or similar services) to generate text interpretations and images. We send only the necessary text data to these services.

Cloud Storage: We use secure cloud services (e.g., Google Firebase, AWS) to sync your subscription status and basic app data.

Analytics: We may use tools like Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (without identifying individual users).

5. Data Retention and Deletion

User Control: You have full control over your data. You can delete individual dream logs from the "Library" tab at any time.

Clear All Data: In the App Settings, we provide a "Clear All Data" option. Activating this will permanently delete all your local recordings, stats, and generated images.

6. Children's Privacy

DreamRewind is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions like the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it.
